LHD are expert manufacturers of trawl and seine nets for the fishing industry. With a new manufacturing premises under construction, LHD approached L&M to supply and install a tailored machinery package for net handling. A net drum and powerblock package from SeaQuest was chosen to fulfil the main specification with both pieces of equipment being fully electrically driven including a powered trolley on the power block which runs the full length of the building on an overhead beam. These were complimented by an electric tensioning winch and eight Yale electric chain hoists for positioning nets during manufacture. The full package was installed and commissioned by L&M.
